Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Karobaar (the web application and the Karobaar mobile app) collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. Karobaar is a business tool for quotations, delivery challans, sales orders, invoices, payments and petty cash. It is provided to businesses and their staff, and accounts are created by your organisation's administrator.
1. Information we collect
- Account information: your name, email address, role and the units or firms you are assigned to. Your password is stored only in hashed form.
- Business records you enter: quotations, delivery challans, sales orders, invoices, receipts, payments, petty cash entries, and master data such as firms, units, products, vendors and agents, including the customer and vendor names, addresses, phone numbers, GST numbers and bank details you choose to record.
- Files you upload: for example firm logos, stamps and supporting documents.
- Technical information: basic server logs such as IP address, request time and error details, used to keep the service secure and working.
2. How we use information
- To sign you in and show you only the records your role is allowed to see.
- To create, store, print and share the business documents you ask for.
- To maintain security, prevent misuse, and fix errors.
We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising.
3. Mobile app
- After you sign in, the app keeps a sign-in token in the device's secure storage so you stay signed in until you log out.
- The app needs an internet connection and communicates with our servers over HTTPS.
- When you tap WhatsApp or Print, the app prepares a PDF of the document and hands it to WhatsApp or to your device's print service. Nothing is sent unless you choose a recipient and send it, and what happens after that is governed by that app's own privacy policy.
- The app does not read your contacts, location, camera or microphone.
4. Sharing of information
Records are visible to users in your organisation according to their role and assigned units. We share information with outside parties only to run the service (for example hosting providers), when required by law, or when you share a document yourself.
5. Storage, security and retention
Data is stored on secured servers and access is controlled by role-based permissions. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information. Business records are kept for as long as your organisation uses Karobaar, or as required for accounting and legal purposes, and are removed or anonymised when no longer needed.
6. Your choices
You can ask your organisation's administrator to correct or update your account information or to deactivate your account. Requests about records belonging to your organisation should go to that administrator.
7. Children
Karobaar is a business tool and is not intended for children under 18.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed, and continued use of Karobaar after a change means you accept the updated policy.
9. Contact
For privacy questions, contact the Karobaar administrator of your organisation.
